Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was an anchor in the morning and a reporter on WCBD TV. While in Charleston O'Dell's reporting about the relaxed approach police take towards DUI cases caused the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in State authorities issuing a more stringent directive regarding these instances. It was reported that the Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with the Best Report of the Years Award across all South Carolina Media. Following her work in Charleston O'Dell was a co-anchor and investigative reporter for the NBC Miami station WTVJ-TV before joining Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor as well as a weekday correspondent. O'Dell is the anchor of choice for Access Hollywood. In addition she is a contributor in NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She has co-hosted a variety of Pre-ShowArrivals programs to The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. Other co-hosting credits include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
