In the summer months in 2021, there's a constant feeling of uncertainty about how our social service will include the much-valued interpersonal connections that have been enjoyed by Rotary members in previous times. Although the mantra of hands face space' is sure to remain a part of our daily program, it's clear that confidence is building and face-to-face reconnections occur. Rotary has, however, developed. As we move into this summer there is a lot of doubt concerning whether Rotary can give the same kind of connection that Rotary members had in the before continues. The motto "hands-in-space" is certainly a component of our routines, it is evident that confidence is growing as are the more direct interactions. However, Rotary has changed. Rotary is a network which fosters lasting friendships. Our methods have been refined to maintain online meetings in our workplaces, as well as introducing social and service activities through a face-toface format. We have taken the new opportunities, and have combined them with our practices to create a bright new future for Rotary! It's an encouraging thing to hear that 75% of Rotary clubs intend to keep their "business regular" actions. It's great to know that the Rotary Support Centre team is able to provide valuable resources which help with the development and maintenance of infrastructure and keeping people who are members secure. Insurance and compliance are also important. Our Rotarians have been able to find innovative and creative solutions for the toughest challenges. That's why I was so happy to have the chance to join Rotary when I joined in the year 2002. Rotary has provided me, just like it has provided many other people with a community of trustworthy like-minded individuals from which I've developed genuine friendships in the last 20 years. Everyone should invite their members of our families and friends to join Rotary to truly make a positive difference.
